FlachStrahl-Düse, FlachStrahl-Düsen Flat Spray Special Purpose Blow –Off Type Nozzle - This nozzle directs compresses air or steam in a wide thin air sheet.
- It is designed with a relatively wide slotted orifice.
- It is a three piece construction and the tip has two flats to facilitate alignment and hence easier installation
- Thread sizes are male BSPT and female BSPP
- Typically used in air drying
DJ Type Nozzle - These nozzles give a wide flat spray of liquid with even distribution except for the edges, which have a heavier deposit.
- At low pressure it gives wider spray angles with water. It is useful with steam or air for blow off applications. These nozzles are a one piece male BSPT thread design only.
- The hexagon body with wrench flats prevents orifice distortion when tightening thereby giving a more consistent spray pattern.
- Typically used in air drying

SL AZ Type Nozzle - This nozzle gives a uniform distribution of hard hitting flat spray with a minimum of atomization.
- There are no soft edges, so there is no need for any overlapping.
- There is minimal flow deviation at varying pressures and it is available in 0’-50’ spray angles.
- It is a one piece construction with no internal shoulders or ledges to cause liquid turbulence. It is a male BSPT thread design only.
- The hexagon body and wrench flats avoid distortion while tightening giving a more consistent spray pattern and the circular orifice reduces wear on the nozzle extending the life of the nozzle.
- Nozzle filters are not required as the orifice will pass small amounts of foreign matter.
- Typically used in descaling, de-burring and vehicle washing.
343 Type Nozzle - This nozzle type has a highly uniform and stable distribution across the complete spray pattern with a knife like cutting edge.
- Higher efficiency is derived from maximum impinging force produced with a minimal loss of energy.
- Spray pattern does not need overlapping and it has nominal spray angles of 25’ and 32’.
- It is a one piece construction with 3/8” male NPT thread.
- Available in 440 Hardened stainless steel.
DD Type Nozzle - These nozzles produce a highly uniform flat spray at high pressures.
- Higher efficiency is derived from maximum impinging force produced with a minimal loss of energy.
- The spray pattern has a knife like cutting edge.
- They have nominal spray angles of 25’ and 32’ and the axis is offset 15’ to axis of dovetail.
- Three piece design with male BSPT thread or welding nipple body.
AQ Type Nozzle - This type of nozzle has a uniform flat fan shaped spray.
- It requires minimal overlapping to produce an even distribution when used in multiple nozzle system.
- It has a wide range of flow rates and spray angles and 0’ nozzle sizes available on request.
- It is a 3 piece construction with the orifice insert manufactured in Tungsten carbide for maximum wear resistance at higher pressures.
- The insert is also recessed for protection.

Flat Spray NOZZLES
Flat spray nozzles produce a uniform flat fan shaped pattern with tapering edges. There are a variety of different ways of producing a flat spray, each nozzle offering unique spray properties and characteristics as well as different materials in order to suit your specific requirement. Most of the nozzles are available in brass or stainless steel as standard, but can be custom manufactured in large variety of materials to suit your specific requirement.
Flat spray nozzles are used in the following typical applications: Asphalt or tar laying Bottle washing Coal and gravel washing Degreasing Dishwashing Foam control Industrial washers Metal cleaning-rinsing and washing Spray coating Vehicle washing Water misting Water fountains Below is information on a selection of the Delavan flat spray nozzles as well as links to the specification sheets on all of the Delavan flat sprays. AC Type Nozzle - These nozzles produce a uniform flat spray pattern without hard edges, at pressure of 0.5 bar and up.
- The tapered edges of the pattern allow overlapping to ensure even distribution.
- They are a one piece male BSPT thread design, with female ¼ “ and 3/8” bodies available
- in flow sizes from 2-600 and spray angles between 0’-110’.
- The hexagon body with wrench flats prevents distortion when tightening and therefore giving you a more consistent spray pattern.
- The tapered inlet reduces wear and resists clogging.
- Some typical applications include coal and gravel washing, foam control, component washing and vehicle washing
CAC Type Nozzle - These nozzles produce a uniform flat spray pattern without hard edges, at pressure of 0.5 bar and up.
- The tapered edges of the pattern allow overlapping to ensure even distribution.
- They are a compact one piece male BSPP thread design available in flow sizes from 2-300, with spray angles between 0’-110’.
- The hexagon body with wrench flats prevents distortion when tightening and therefore giving you a more consistent spray pattern.
- The tapered inlet reduces wear and resists clogging.
- This nozzle is more compact than the AC type nozzle and can therefore be used where space is an issue.
- Some typical applications include component washing, vehicle washing and etch and wash chemical spraying
LF Type Nozzle - These nozzles produce a uniform flat fan shaped pattern with tapering edges.
- They require overlapping for even distribution.
- These are a flanged tip design for use with standard threaded bodies and caps
- Thread sizes are male BSPT and female BSPP
- They are available in flow sizes from 0.4-50 and spray angles between 0’-110’
- Typical applications include weed control, vehicle washing, etch and wash chemical spraying and roll lubrication
LC Type Nozzle - This type of nozzles produces a flat fan shaped pattern.
- There is minimal overlapping required to produce even distribution when used in multiple nozzle systems.
- This nozzle has been purpose designed for concast cooling applications.
- It is a robust three piece construction and the tip carries two flats to help with alignment.
- The orifice has been designed to provide a more even spray distribution than conventional tips.
- The LC type nozzles are available in flow sizes from 10-200 and with spray angles between 0’-110’.
- Thread sizes are male BSPT and female BSPP.
LK Type Nozzle - This nozzle produces a uniform flat fan shaped pattern with tapering edges.
- It requires overlapping to produce even distribution when used in multiple nozzle systems.
- The extremely low flow rates from the smaller capacities make it ideal for chain and conveyor lubrication.
- It is a three piece construction with the orifice produced in ceramic and the body and retainer in stainless steel.
- The orifice insert is recessed for maximum protection. It is available in flow sizes from 0.11 to 6 and with spray angles between 0’ -10’.
